At Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program, we proudly offer a cutting-edge medicine model through our Patient-centered Medical Training that includes extensive rural training opportunities. Our Program ensures that Family Medicine residents receive practical and relevant training, equipping them to excel in their medical careers upon graduation.

Comprehensive Core Curriculum

Designed to provide a strong educational experience, our core curriculum includes:

  • Didactic Conferences: Essential theoretical knowledge.

  • Skill Seminars: Hands-on learning for practical skills.

  • Health Systems Management: Insight into managing healthcare systems.

  • Rural Rotation: Real-world experience in rural settings.

With over 1,000 applicants interviewed each year, we meticulously select residents who will thrive in our program. Our curriculum is designed to address current needs, supported by dedicated staff and state-of-the-art facilities. This combination offers a strong sense of community and a forward-thinking approach to healthcare.

Unopposed Learning Environment

Our unopposed residency program guarantees that residents have uninterrupted opportunities to learn from experienced doctors. With a group of 24 residents in our three-year Family Medicine Program, trainees gain extensive experience in the field.

Diverse Perspectives

Our residents come from a wide array of locations bringing diverse perspectives that enrich the learning environment. Regardless of their backgrounds, each resident is focused on acquiring the skills necessary to practice effectively in any community, ensuring they are well-prepared to serve the needs of diverse populations.

Cultivating Future Family Physicians

We’re developing the next generation of family physicians to meet the growing need for Family Medicine doctors in Nebraska. By offering comprehensive, hands-on training in a supportive environment, we prepare our residents to meet the unique healthcare needs of rural and underserved communities, ensuring a strong, future-ready workforce.
