What does it mean to be Board-certified?
At Lincoln Family Medicine Residency, our three-year residency program prepares family medicine residents for private practice. At the end of their training, each physician takes their board exams to become certified in family medicine. Every physician must be licensed to practice medicine, however board certification is a voluntary process.
Board certification demonstrates a physician's exceptional expertise in a particular specialty. The American Board of Family Medicine is the accrediting organization that administers the board exams that our residents will take.
We are proud of our resident physicians, their achievements over the past three years, and their commitment to caring for our patients every day.
