Second-year Curriculum

 

Second-year residents have an opportunity to spend more time in subspecialty rotations during the 48-weeks program. The options include:

Cardiology — 8 weeks

Emergency Medicine II — 4 weeks

Neonatology — 4 weeks

Neurology — 4 weeks

Orthopedics — 6 weeks

Inpatient Pediatrics — 6 weeks

Outpatient Pediatrics — 2 weeks

Rural Rotation — 4 weeks

Electives — 10 weeks

*8 weeks total of PGY2 must be designated as hospital-based medicine subspecialty services

Lincoln's Residency Program curriculum is designed to ensure residents have exposure to all aspects of medicine.
